Star Wars Character Mode Bracket

What is your favorite color? Or more specifically what color aura do you have? I was raised with the concept of Qi – the vital force that is within and binding all things. As I grew up, I learned it is most certainly closely related to the concept of auras. And so, when you evaluate a person, how do you perceive their aura and its coloring? It is not as simple a question as it may seem. I have spent my adult life meditating on such things and practicing to learn such secrets. And with this project, I have put what I have learned thus far into practice with a new bracket for the four main character mode lights of the Star Wars pin.

For Luke, orange was clearly the correct choice due to the imprint Tatooine had left on him from his carefree, somewhat boring youth. Before evaluating him, I thought maybe his light saber color would influence his aura, but it did not. Tatooine had clearly made a lifelong mark on him.

For R2D2, the task was impossible as his mechanical construction impeded any chance of detecting an aura. So, I merely chose blue since it is the main color on his casing.

Princess Leia is a complicated being, and the other monks I have inquired of here agree. Even in the Mandarin subtitled version of the movies we got, she is sassy and tough but paradoxically soft and caring. So her aura seemed to be a deep royal purple, with pink overtones that reads as almost a magenta. Given her lineage and personality, it is a good outcome.

Finally, Han’s aura seems to be about harmony and life, with some assertive quality. He saved many people, preserving life, and that was no more evident than on the lush planet of Endor. And so it is fitting that he has an aura of green that is in harmony with the Endor lights nearby on the playfield and also is a fitting callback to giving Greedo his earned due.
